"Send this to 20 people and you will get rich! It worked for my friend/neighbor/dog!" 8-)the above e-mails I know!! Those things get on my nerves SO badly! I never respond to the regardless of how many years of relationship problems, financial busts, plain all out bad luck, or amount of years deducted from my original life expectancy (20 to be exact) I've accumulated. LMOA!

"LMOA!"Laugh my off ass? Back on topic... Pet peeve: POOR GRAMMARAt what point did it become socially acceptable to COMPLETELY butcher the English language? Is it really that difficult to string together a few sentences in a sensible manner? I don't expect perfection from others, but...GOOD LORD! When I read a post full of spelling, punctuation and word usage errors, my opinion of that individual drops significantly. What it tells me is that person is either lazy, poorly-educated or a combination of the two. Whatever the case, it's not an image someone with a fully-functioning brain should want to project in public. Perhaps, that's a commentary on an abysmal education system which -- for far too long -- has been geared more toward shuffling kids along with their feelings intact than toward making sure they're actually learning the material. That speaks to a lack of accountability, however...which is a different "peeve" for another day. I would think -- just out of personal pride -- people would want to present themselves in an intelligent manner. Somewhere along the line, though, speaking or writing like an ignoramus has lost its social stigma. People are no longer ashamed to be borderline illiterate. In some circles, it appears to be preferred. What happened to communication skills in America? I find it ironic that so much emphasis is placed on developing new technologies to help people communicate with one another -- over greater distances -- faster, but no one seems terribly concerned that what's being said is barely above the evolutionary level of grunts and poop-flinging. Please, tell me I'm not the only one annoyed by this!

There are many times that I will start reading something someone has written and I give up; why work that hard to uinderstand someone if they can't even put in the effort to use proper English.

Please, tell me I'm not the only one annoyed by this! Well, I may be alone in this, but I don't use my best grammar all the time. When I am posting somewhere I am really comfortable (not to say I am not comfortable here) I DON'T use my best grammar as opposed to when I post here. I know when and HOW to switch back. It's just fun to spell things how they are said. You probably weren't referring to this, so I'll quit my rambling and go on to my next peeve.
