I have to say Paul also, Christian Payton did a wonderful job portraying Paul. He had the on point moves as well as the voice muscially and his acting was just great. I loved the song Oh Mother.

Also it is great for everybody to talk about the miniseries also, and I am in need of some help..does anybody know where I can get the miniseries shown on television. I have seen it on dvd and tape but they have deleted scenes and I wanted the original. If anyone has it taped, I would like to work it out just please help me out. This has to be my favorite movie.

Hey anybody I just found this site and am glad to see some other people still talking about the best male group there is....THE TEMPTATIONS. Hey there soulfulchild!! We're SO glad to have you!!! The DVD has all of the deleted scenes that VHS doesn't. Are you looking for the DVD? If not, they show the miniseries on BET and VH1, occasionally. Maybe there is somewhere you could contact them and request to have the movie shown. If you're trying to see more scenes I would recommend VH1. BET has the nasty habit of cutting movies short.

I have to say Paul also, Christian Payton did a wonderful job portraying Paul. He had the on point moves as well as the voice muscially and his acting was just great. I loved the song Oh Mother. I love the friendship that Paul and Eddie portrayed. I read their biographies and Eddie was not even originally in the strong desire to sing, only to get his mother and father a house and then do his thang, but pushy Paul convinced him to sing and travel to make it big. Then it was awesome seeing them for the very first time perform in the movie when Berry Gordy came to the show, also while Otis and the Distants were there. The most loyal part was when Paul was sick from all the alcohol and they wanted to go on without him, but Eddie was like "If Paul's not on that stage, I'm not on that stage" Man I was like you tell them Eddie be true to ya boy. And then when Paul came back only to sing in the studio and they showed Richard take Paul's place on stage, Eddie disappeared while singing Just My Imagination. I was like dang

I find it interesting that so many people choose Paul as their favorite (myself included) and he was supposedly trashed in this movie...
Am I missing something here?

WHAT DO MEAN HE WAS TRASHED WEAKY? Ooops, I sure didn't make THAT clear! LOL! Sorry! It sounded like I was saying he was innebriated...(which is a little funny, if you have a sense of humor like mine) Well, over the years the movie has gotten lots and LOTS of positive feedback, but then they also have some negative feedback as to the way Pauls character was portrayed in the movie. It was described as trashing. They claimed Otis trashed Paul in his book, and the movie, so that people would want to buy it. I was findind it interesting how lots and LOTS (myself included) loved Pauls character in the movie, and then others can claim he was disrespected. I just don't get it... What do you think?
