i just got to listen to the new james hunter album, people gonna talk, while i was my universal internship, and this album is great. the music is really funky and groovy, and it always makes me want to dance. the album has that funky 60's soul sound. it really sounds like a mix between the temptations and james browne. this guys is sure to be a classic. if you haven't heard james hunter, he is definately worth listening to. if you are interested, i found this link you can check out: www.jameshuntermusic.com

I just checked out the album on Real Rhapsody, and it's pretty good! I can't say I hear the Temptations sound you mentioned, but I definitely hear the James Brown influence. The way the horns are used, in particular, is very reminiscent of classic mid-60s JB.
All in all, a nice album. Thanks for the recommendation!

I listened a little bit, I'm going to go listen some more. I like it so far. I don't hear the "Tempts vibe" in particular, but pretty old school (which is my favorite ) Thanks for the link!

British, R & B and soul, and the music has a melody. Mercy me. I didn't think of the Tempts, but they they are five blended voices. But in the sense that it reminded me of Paul's statement that their songs weren't R & B, but mostly rock-and-roll. In other words, pop music that wasn't stuck in a slot.
