Leon Robinson. He was too busy playing "Leon" to capture the essence of David Ruffin. YOU DON'T THINK THAT HE CAPTURED RUFFIN'S ESSENCE IN THE LEAST BIT???

BIANCA DID NOT DO A VERY WELL JOB PLAYING DIANE AS A CHARACTER, BUT I THINK THAT SHE HAD HER MANNERISMS PRETTY WELL ON STAGE. AS FOR OTIS' SON................... (NOT IN A GOOD WAY) Lol, you crack me up. And I agree on the Otis son thing, not the cute little boy but the one with crooked ass teeth that go suddenly perfect at one point. OH GOODNESS, HE HAD TO HAVE HIMSELF A TWIN IN THERE SOMEWHERE..............

:(Tara, you are right on point, Rhonda would've made a much more believeable Diane. I guess they wanted her to have a bigger part, but if your going to cast someone to play Diane Ross, and you have someone in the movie who looks just like her, hmmmm. As for Ms. Lawson, if she were the supporting actress in a movie, the only way I would see it would be when it came on TV . And I won't get into the young man who looked like his favorite snack was crewing rocks.

I don't think that there was a horrible performance. ANd the girl that played Diana only had about 3 lines in the whole movie. She performed well on stage, I don't see where she sucked. I think Otis's son did good too, I think you all are paying too much attention to detail. Man Smooth, I got to give it to you...I totally agree. She only had 3 lines and the fact that she carried that stuckupness, that I'm the boss of this show type of attitude was on point. You can't expect much from someone that has 3 lines while everybody else not only involves acting, but singing as well. Also I think his son did well to be just what he portrayed..his son. Yeah, that is paying too much attention to detail.

Yeah, that is paying too much attention to detail. Umm...well, let me say this. As an actress, if you are going to portray someone no matter how small your part may be, you should still have pride in your performance, and play it as accurate as neccessary. When I was playing Gladys Horton of the Marvelettes, I studied videos to capture the way she held her lips when she wasn't talking, the way she stood, the way she pointed when she sang. That is part of being professional. That is what separates a movie from a homemade video. It is what separates a serious production from a high school play. Going into detail. I notice those types of things, and other people are going to notice them as well. Of course this is JMO
