Weaky's Award goes to Miss Bianca Lawson for her totally uninspired cartoon character Diane Ross. Even though Diane was a minor part in the movie, this girl has reached brilliant levels of sucking. I have seen her play a witch with a B in Save the Last Dance, and on Sister Sister, and the same witch with a B character she played in those she tried to use as Diane. And it simply didn't work. She should have done her research. Diane was driven, and snotty too, but there was a reason behind her snottiness...This girl acted like someone told her "okay you're Diane, so be mean."
I think Otis son's character did a bang-down (not up) job as well. But I don't even refer to what he did as acting really. I don't know what I'd refer to that as.
So how about ya'll?

ROFL....Oh LOL!!! my sides hurt!!! What a wonderful turn of phrase, "reached brilliant levels of sucking".... LOLOL!! I never even realized that was her in "Save The Last Dance", which shows how much I paid attention to "Diane" in the miniseries.

HA- shows you how much *I* pay attention. Worst performance, hhmmmm lets see. I'm going to say the guy that played Edgar or what ever his name was. Otis' father-step father, still not sure what he was.

I don't think that there was a horrible performance. ANd the girl that played Diana only had about 3 lines in the whole movie. She performed well on stage, I don't see where she sucked. I think Otis's son did good too, I think you all are paying too much attention to detail.

Well, some did better then others I'll say that....but I don't think anyone was horrible. But for the sake of this thread I'll say Flynn, the actor didn't do a bad job; but I love to hate his character.

Me too, but only for the reason that he used to play a bad guy in The Young & The Restless. They eventually killed him off. So I guess he moved on to bigger and better things, such as this mini-series Ha-

BIANCA DID NOT DO A VERY WELL JOB PLAYING DIANE AS A CHARACTER, BUT I THINK THAT SHE HAD HER MANNERISMS PRETTY WELL ON STAGE. AS FOR OTIS' SON................... (NOT IN A GOOD WAY)

(NOT IN A GOOD WAY) Lol, you crack me up. And I agree on the Otis son thing, not the cute little boy but the one with crooked ass teeth that go suddenly perfect at one point.

I am sorry if I came off a little harsh, but I do pay attention to detail, all of us do, because we care about the movie. It was a great movie all in all, but I just don't think Bianca captured Diane (mannerisms or otherwise sorry LD ) Just stating our opinions, and you have the right to yours...now back to your scheduled thread!!

I would have put Rhonda Ross (Pauls wife in the movie) to play Diana.

Leon Robinson.
He was too busy playing "Leon" to capture the essence of David Ruffin.
